Drive DeVilbiss AeroCarbon Powerchair
The AeroCarbon Powerchair from Drive DeVilbiss features a full carbon fibre frame with a carry weight of just 12kg (excluding battery), making it the lightest powerchair in the Drive DeVilbiss range. The total weight including battery is 13.5kg. A rapid folding mechanism reduces the chair to 73 × 31 × 76cm for storage and transport.
Carbon Fibre Frame
Carbon fibre construction delivers a high strength-to-weight ratio across the entire frame. The material maintains structural rigidity while keeping the carry weight to 12kg — comparable to many manual transit wheelchairs. The frame is backed by a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
Battery & Range
The AeroCarbon is equipped with a 24V 10Ah lithium-ion battery, providing a range of up to 9.5 miles per charge. The battery is air travel safe and charges off-board, allowing the battery to be removed and charged independently. Maximum speed is 4mph.
Drive System
Dual 24V/150W DC brushless motors provide smooth, responsive power delivery. The joystick controller is mounted on the right armrest as standard, with an optional attendant controller available separately (model 12-EC8003Z-00) for rear-operated control.
Folding & Transport
The folding mechanism operates quickly without tools. Once folded, the AeroCarbon measures 73 × 31 × 76cm (L × W × H), fitting standard car boots. The removable battery further reduces carry weight for loading and unloading.
